Necessity is the Mother of Invention
My heroine, Auntie Mame, taught us volumes in the book,
play, and movie of the same name about how our
willingness to open new windows and doors will help us
navigate any economic roller coaster. After all, Mame
had the Crash of ’29 to contend with. It didn’t stop her for
a second from her motto, “Live, live, live!” In the larger
cosmic perspective, I believe these times are here to
teach us our interconnection and what true prosperity
really is. Our relationships and the spark of the divine
within us all, expressed as our creative powers, are the
tools for rich living, whether we’re just hunting for our
first job or entering Act 2 of the play of our lives. Or as my
friend, Eileen Williams calls it,
The Feisty Side of Fifty!
