Techno-Boom!
The Hot Flashbacks, Cool Insights blog slogan is:
Boom is the sound the “baby” generation makes
when it explodes the old Old.”
We should also blow up any of our residual technophobia.
So what if we came from the days of manual typewriters and
hardcopy news? The Internet and new-fangled ways to
communicate like Facebook and Twitter are here to stay—
until they morph into the next cool tools.
As my Auntie Mame post reminds us, these are new
communication windows and doors we should open every
day. The trick is to: (1) take time to learn, (2) go bonkers
with it, then (3) find your balance. Twitter has gotten lots of
press lately about its huge popularity. It’s addictive! We’re
letting our fingers do the walking now all over the globe.
(Remember that old Yellow Pages commercial/slogan?) The
heart of cool living all the way to the finish line—and this
blog—is a spirit of adventure. My personal experience? Fear
of not getting it is unfounded. When I finally overcome my
techno-jitters, I pick up the new tools just fine, as I need
them. You will, too. Don’t overwhelm yourself trying to get a
Ph.D. from Twitter Tech all in one day.
