Poetry Plays the Symbols, Too
It makes sense that poetry is the genre where I was first
published. It's full of symbolism. Similes, metaphors--allusions.
They are writing tools for recording the deeper meanings in life
and the personal-to-collective interface of our individual growth
experiences.
Although most of my poetry-writing is in the past, I have still
never lost my taste for it. I am grateful that most of my poems
are timeless, and that I still manage to the find time, now and
then, to create some new ones.
Check In Progress for news on my long-awaited first
poetry collection, Thick Water. Meanwhile, here are a few
of my favorites to whet your appetite, if you're not adverse!
